I'm 24 but I know this is important to know. I looked online a few months ago for a hormone/endocrine diet, but there is just nothing out there! Thank you for doing the hard work! I can't wait to buy your book.

We're not saying at all that you can do away with your hormones and just approach with diet after a hysterectomy. What we are saying is that you need to approach it from a holistic perspective. A good diet and exercise program can help keep the proper ratios of estrogens and progesterone to keep you safer. Herbs may help you to reduce the levels. Best way to handle it is to get your hormones and metabolites tested via the 24 hour urine hormone profile, get on the diet as we recommend in the vibrant hormones program with lots of raw foods and supplement the hormones as needed. As you incorporate more diet, exercise, herb support and you test, you will be able to adjust your levels to the right balance for you.

So if a person has had hysterectomy[ovaries left and is over 55,using Ovestin cream, plus bio-identical progesterone 4% eg,are you saying they can stop it and be balanced out with just good foods mainly raw and maybe powdered herbs like Maca.

Comment passed on to me by Dr. Lindsey Berkson:
Exercise is a normalizer of hormones and a booster of brain feel good hormones.

Dr. Ritamarie's comments:

Women need to work out hard and long to increase testosterone significantly. There is no evidence that regular exercise can create an excess of testosterone. Just don't start training for an iron man or body builder contest and you should experience the benefits of exercise.

All that said, I hope you have had a hormone panel with metabolites, like the 24 hour urine test at Meridian Valley lab. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is usually associated with multiple hormone and nutrient imbalances and insulin resistance. A no sugar, no starch low glycemic diet supplemented with nutrients that support healthy blood sugar is essential in managing PCOS. Looking at the metabolic pathways can give you a clue as to what nutrients and cofactors may be needed to keep all the hormones balanced and happy.

it maybe that you are overloading your computer. Try closing all the other windows you have open before playing. It seems to play just fine on my laptop and my desktop. Good luck
